Planning a Beach Wedding
Beach Wedding Considerations
A beach wedding is a romantic's dream. The sand, the water, the tranquility and
the sunshine make it
a peaceful location for a wedding. As with any outdoor wedding, you have to
make several considerations. The beach also introduces us to a couple of other
problems, the sand and the water. Here are several key considerations that any
engaged couple should make when planning a wedding by the sea.
1. Beach Weddings Weather. As with any other type of outdoor wedding, this is
a typical concern. The beaches are cooler and windier. Anything that can be
blown away should be tied down because the strong beach winds can make it an
uncomfortable experience. With a beach wedding, the sun is also another
consideration to take into account. Wedding guests should be advised to wear
sunscreen and to dress appropriately for the beach wedding reception. A tent
is a good idea to rent because some guests may want to be in the shade at
times, or it could even rain.
2. Special Beach Wedding Concerns. Unlike a regular outdoor wedding, the beach
brings about some unique problems. Your wedding guests who'll be sitting on
chairs will have a problem when the legs of the chair begin to sink in the
sand. Therefore, you should rent a platform for your guests. The wedding
couple should also know when the tide will be coming in and how far it will
go. Therefore, you should plan to have the ceremony in an area that won't get
flooded.
3. The beach is a noisy place, with all the wind and the waves. A couple
should consider having a sound system installed so their wedding guests will
not have a problem hearing the ceremony. Next, since the beach wedding
ceremony could be held in the middle of nowhere, portable restrooms should be
provided.
